Every week, before the first door is opened or the first chair is set, someone has already been there — preparing, organizing, making it possible for everyone else to show up. Whether it's a parish hall, a school gymnasium, a community center, or a neighborhood park, the quiet work of volunteers is what keeps communities alive. Servus Bonus exists to honor that faithfulness.

The Name

ServusBonus is Latin for "Good Servant," drawn from the words spoken in Matthew 25:21 — "Well done, good and faithful servant." It's the phrase every volunteer deserves to hear, regardless of where they serve or what they believe. That spirit — of faithful, selfless service — is at the heart of everything we build.

Why We're Here

For too long, volunteer coordination has meant spreadsheets passed between inboxes, last-minute phone calls, and organizers carrying the weight of scheduling in their heads. The people who serve our communities most generously have been supported by the least generous tools.

We believe good servants deserve good tools. Servus Bonus is a volunteer management platform built for communities that run on the dedication of their people. We handle the scheduling, coordination, and communication so that organizers can focus on what matters most — the people who show up to serve.

Built From the Pew, Not the Boardroom

Servus Bonus was born inside a Catholic parish. We didn't start from a business plan — we started from experience: watching ministry coordinators juggle volunteer schedules on paper, seeing dedicated people fall through the cracks of disorganized systems, and knowing firsthand that liturgical rhythms and community needs are nothing like employee shifts.

As we built and listened, we realized the same problem exists everywhere. A school volunteer coordinator faces the same chaos. A neighborhood association struggles with the same last-minute scrambles. A food pantry runs on the same goodwill and the same inadequate spreadsheets. The tools we built for the pew turned out to work just as well in the classroom, the community garden, and the civic hall.

Who We Serve

Servus Bonus grew up serving Catholic parishes — their liturgical calendars, their ministry structures, their deep sense of community. That origin shaped how we think about volunteers: not as resources to be managed, but as people giving their time as an act of service.

Today we serve a much wider community. Our platform is a good fit for:

  • Faith communities of all traditions — Catholic, Protestant, Episcopal, Lutheran, Baptist, Evangelical, non-denominational, and beyond. Wherever there are people who volunteer their time for something greater than themselves, the platform is ready to help.
  • Schools and educational programs — parent volunteers, after-school coordinators, fundraising events, and everything in between.
  • Neighborhoods and civic groups — HOAs, community boards, neighborhood associations, and local event committees that depend on resident volunteers.

We measure success by one thing: whether coordinators can hand off their phone at the end of the week and stop worrying about who's showing up.

Your data belongs to you

We use three third-party services: Stripe for billing, Google Analytics for traffic, and Sentry for errors. No CRM. No marketing platform. We do not use your data for advertising. Ever.

Trust should be earned, not locked in

No annual contracts. No six-month commitments. Month-to-month, always. If we stop serving you well, you should be free to leave — and we should have to earn you back.

Our Approach

We keep things simple because community life is already full enough. Servus Bonus gives coordinators clear scheduling tools, gives volunteers an easy way to see where they're needed, and gives everyone less reason to worry about logistics and more room to focus on the mission.

No complexity for its own sake. No features that require a training manual. Just thoughtful software that respects your time as much as you respect the service of your volunteers.

A note on privacy

We take the trust your volunteers place in your organization seriously. Servus Bonus uses exactly three third-party services: Stripe for payment processing, Google Analytics for anonymous traffic data, and Sentry for error monitoring (no personally identifiable information sent). There is no CRM, no email marketing platform, no advertising network.

We do not send marketing or promotional emails to your volunteers. We do not use your data for advertising purposes. If you close your account, your data is deleted within 30 days. Those aren't talking points — they're in our Privacy Policy.
